Phenomenology suggests viewing the world through a “unique cage,” which filters and frames reality, revealing certain aspects while limiting others. Each person’s “cage”—influenced by history, culture, and personal biases—creates a unique perspective of reality for each individual. This idea, resonant with Merleau-Ponty’s concept of “embodied” perception, shows how phenomenology examines both what we perceive and how our unique frames shape that perception.
