PROJECT DOCUMENTATION
At its core, the circle represents wholeness, eternity, and interconnectedness an unbroken form that exists beyond beginning and end. It is an ancient symbol found across cultures, from Indigenous cosmologies to Buddhist mandalas, embodying unity with nature and the cosmos. Fire, in contrast, is dynamic, volatile, and transformative, symbolizing destruction, renewal, and the life force itself. When these two symbols intersect in Christie-Coxon’s work, they create a tension between continuity and impermanence, between structure and flux.
