The theme of CIRCLE CULTURE underpins Christie-Coxon’s works; a thematic progression of the artist’s Circle motif represents an evolutionary consciousness or mindset. CIRCLE CULTURE ruminates on the interconnectedness of life; learning from the past, making choices in the present, which inform the future.
CIRCLE CULTURE presents the Fluid Circle as a modern hybrid of Enso and Ouroboros, symbolic of an emerging culture seeking circularity, connection and inclusivity. These misshapen circles symbolise many things: spontaneous expression; the beauty in imperfection; oneness; connection, and the cyclic nature of the universe.
